The 2nd Seminar on Conceptual Profiles - Contributions of the Theory of Conceptual Profiles to Science Teaching and Learning will be held at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. Location: Auditorium of the Manoel Correia de Andrade Library, Dois Irmãos Campus, on November 25, 26, and 27, 2019.

This event originated at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2016, as a follow-up to the book edited by Eduardo F. Mortimer and Charbel N. El-Hani, Conceptual Profiles - A Theory of Teaching and Learning Scientific Concepts. At that time, various groups from Brazil were present, sharing their work and discussing current and future perspectives for research in science education applying the Theory of Conceptual Profiles. Over the last three years, many other works have been developed in Brazil and abroad, and once again, we hope to discuss with the academic community the theoretical and methodological contributions that this theory has brought to our research area and to practices related to science teaching and learning.
